On Monday, classes start in most schools in Kosovo

All schools will open on Monday in Kosovo, with the exception of a small number that have been delayed by infrastructural preparations. This was announced by the Minister of Education, Ramë Likaj, in a joint conference with the Minister of Health, the director of IKSHP, the head of the Education Union and representatives of the Parents' Council.

Likaj stated that all preparations have been made for the beginning of the school year. He said that on Saturday and Sunday the Ministry of Education and Culture distributed half a million masks to schools as he said that their use is mandatory.

The Minister of Health, Armend Zemaj, has requested the cooperation of parents-students-teachers and institutions to manage the situation with Covid-19 as best as possible.

Meanwhile, the director of IKSHP, Naser Ramadani, has pledged that every case presented in schools will be treated with priority by the Institute.

The president of the SBASHK, Rrahman Jasharaj, and the vice-president of the Parents' Council, Hadije Zuqaku, were also present at this conference, who congratulated the students on the beginning of the school year.

President Hashim Thaçi also congratulated the teacher's students, who, through a post on Facebook, asked them to respect the measures and protect their health.

According to the decision made by the Ministry of Education and the municipalities, the lesson will start in two phases. Classes 14 to 0 and 6th grade begin on September 10. For grades 4 and 5, it is left to the municipal directorates to decide in what form they will conduct the lesson, in schools or remotely.

And the second phase of the lesson will start on September 21. This phase includes grades 7,8, 9 and 11 of lower secondary education and grades 12 and XNUMX of higher secondary education.
