Tahiri: The first party is continuing the blockade

Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Abelard Tahiri has said that the winning party of the February 9 elections, the Vetëvendosje Movement, is continuing to block the constitution of the Assembly. 

"The first party is blocking. It has the right to make a proposal for the speaker of parliament, but it does not have a majority. They have decided the situation by blocking. No other party can block it, except the first party. We have paved the way, as the chairman of our party has said several times, that there are some figures who can be voted for by the PDK. But, in this case, Albin Kurti and the party have decided the situation by blocking," said Tahiri before the start of the constitutive session. 

Tahiri said that "there is no doubt that Vetëvendosje will be the biggest loser of these elections." 

"There is no doubt that the biggest loser of these elections will be LVV. It is clear that they no longer have a governing partner, and taking into account the latest public opinion polls, it is the party that has suffered the greatest decline. These are people who do not cooperate for the good of citizens and their interests. All other parties have provided opportunities and steps to unblock the situation," said Tahiri.
