For the Democratic Party of Kosovo, no topic is more important than amending the Law on the Special Court, said the head of the party's Parliamentary Group, Arian Tahiri.
At a press conference held on Tuesday, Tahiri said that the issue of electing the president must not be linked to the law on Special.
"For the Democratic Party of Kosovo, no topic is more important at this moment than the law, the issue of the president is a matter of consensus and political will. PDK has been committed to avoiding elections since day one. There should be no political maneuvers, drama, situations, and stagings to produce elections after elections. For PDK, the main issue is the law," he emphasized.
According to Tahiri, Prime Minister Albin Kurti is responsible for electing the president or going to new elections.
"He should not even dare to think of linking the law to the President. The law is our national obligation," he added.
A day ago, PDK leader Bedri Hamza said that the party he leads is ready to discuss the president's issue if the amendment to the Law on the Special Court is approved in the Assembly.
Hamza said that he made this position known to him during the meeting he had last night with the leader of the LVV, Albin Kurti.
