The Supreme Court has partially accepted the complaint of the Vetëvendosje Movement regarding the certification of candidates for deputies.
The Supreme Court has ordered the Central Election Commission to include Liburn Ali and Labinote Demi-Murtezaj in the list of candidates for deputies, but not the list bearer and candidate for prime minister, Albin Kurti. The same was done with Albulena Haxhiu and Bajram Mavriq, who will not have the right to run.

"The complaint filed by the political entity Lévizja Vetëvendosje has been partially accepted by the panel of the Supreme Court. The decision of the PZAP, Anr. 17/2021, and the decision of the Central Election Commission (CEC) No. 244-2021, regarding the certification of candidates for deputies, have been partially amended, ordering the CEC, that the candidates for deputies Liburn Aliu and Labinote Demi Murtezi, to include them in the list of candidates for MP. Meanwhile, the appeal of the LVV was rejected as partially unfounded, confirming the decision of the PZAP", the Supremes' communiqué states.
The Supreme Court writes that the Electoral Panel for Complaints and Submissions has made a wrong assessment of the 3-year term, counting the day of the announcement of the elections on January 6, 2021 as the final day to assess the 3-year term for the suitability of the candidates.
"The Supreme Court of Kosovo has assessed that the 3-year term should be calculated by referring to the date of the final criminal judgment for each candidate separately until the day of the elections, which in this case is February 14, 2021" , it goes on to say.
