The hospital of Peja changes the answer: We notified SHSKUK about the case of the baby, but not the Ministry of Health

The General Hospital of Peja has changed its answer just a few hours after its medical director had stated to KOHA that the institutions, including the Ministry of Health, had been notified about the case of the baby who was born dead and was put in the washing machine by hospital employees.

A day later, on Thursday, the medical director Muhamet Haliti told TIME that "I misunderstood the question" and that the hospital did not notify the ministry.

Haliti had stated a day ago for KOHNA that "everyone is informed, both the Ministry and the SCKUK" about the case of the baby.

For the change of answer, Haliti's reasoning was that he thought that SHSKUK was the one who notified the ministry.

"We thought that SHSKUK notified the Ministry of Health", said Haliti.

A baby who was born without signs of life last week at the Peja Hospital, was allegedly put into a washing machine. The police case was initiated by the baby's father after medical staff refused to release the baby's body to the family when they requested it.
