The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania, Elisa Spiropali, has expressed her sorrow for the untimely passing of Elisabeta Katijaj and Eorda Sinollari, who died as a result of a traffic accident on Saturday morning in Kosovo.
She described them as two energetic women who dedicated their time and talent to Albania and the Albanian diaspora.
Spiropali has announced that as a sign of honor and respect for the figure and contribution of Elisabeta Katijaj, the 6th Women in the Diaspora Summit, which she was expected to participate in, to be held in Parma, will be postponed to another time.
"With Elisabeta, in a few days, we would have been together in Parma, at the 6th Summit of Women in the Diaspora, but unfortunately her sudden and untimely departure did not leave us this opportunity. As a sign of honor and respect for the figure and contribution of Elisabeta, the 6th Summit of Women in the Diaspora will be postponed to another time," Spiropali wrote on social networks.
They lost their lives after their car collided with a truck on the "Ibrahim Rugova" highway.
According to the Police report, one of them died at the scene, while the other died while being transferred from Prizren Hospital to the University Clinical Center of Kosovo.
