The Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague have told Radio Free Europe that they have not been consulted about efforts in Kosovo to change the law that established the institution.
The initiative to amend the Law on the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague, otherwise known as the Special Court, is being reviewed by Prime Minister Albin Kurti's legal office.

The change in the law is an initiative of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), the largest opposition party.
To pass through the Assembly, it must receive the consent of the Government and pass the parliamentary committees.
"We have not been consulted," the Special Court briefly stated in a response to REL, adding that they "do not comment on political initiatives."
