Vjollca Zeqiri, specialist in family medicine, has called for caution during the high temperatures prevailing this summer.

She has shown that the first symptoms when the heat affects the human body are dehydration, drying of the skin and mucous membranes.

"The longer the periods of high temperatures, the greater the impact of heat. As a result of high temperatures, a cumulative physiological stress is created that affects the deterioration of health conditions that exist in people. For example, people who suffer from diabetes, hypertension, heart, lung or kidney diseases, their condition worsens", she said in the show "60 Minutes" on KTV.

While, he further told about the consequences that the heat causes in the human body, Zeqiri also gave advice.

"We have many symptoms, it starts with dehydration, drying of the skin, drying of the mucous membrane. As a result, the symptoms of dizziness and headache appear. But it often doesn't end there. Exposure to high temperatures can affect the nervous system. Then the impact on the cardiovascular system can provoke the appearance of a heart attack and the increase in blood pressure and pulse. It can also affect the body's muscles, leading to spasms," she said.

Zeqiri has warned to be careful with air conditioners, so as not to create too big a difference between the temperature inside and outside.

"You should avoid going out at the peak of the heat, from 11 am to 17 pm. If it is mandatory to go out, the lightest, cheapest clothes, glasses, hat should be worn. The more water you drink. Food is very important, to be rich in fruits and vegetables. Avoid salty, fried foods with a lot of salt.
