The Peace Board agreement is being reviewed today, the opposition refuses to include the Draft Law on the Bureau on the agenda

The Kosovo Assembly will today also review the Draft Law on Kosovo's membership in the Peace Board. This is because the ruling party's proposal for inclusion on the agenda was also supported by the opposition.

Meanwhile, the opposition has not supported the inclusion on the agenda of several other draft laws, including the one on the State Bureau for the Verification and Confiscation of Unjustified Assets, saying that they have not passed the Committees in second reading.

"We are in favor of the Peace Board agreement being included as an agenda item. While we are against the others. We cannot address the bureau here without going through a second reading in the Legislation Committee," PDK MP Përparim Gruda emphasized.

LDK MP Jehona Lushaku has also stated the same.

"We support the point about the Peace Board, while we do not support the introduction of other draft laws, especially those that have not passed the second reading in committees," she emphasized.

The ruling party has justified the emergency with the situation in which the Parliament finds itself, which will be automatically dissolved if the president is not elected by April 28.

"Regarding the Draft Law on the Bureau, we have been informed that the public hearing has been finalized, while the urgency for this was given the circumstances we find ourselves in as an Assembly.
