Today, Albania will hold a day of national mourning to honor Major Klodian Tanushi, who fell in line of duty during the NATO mission in Latvia.
The decision was taken by the Albanian government.
In honor of Major Tanushi, commander of the Albanian contingent in Latvia, tomorrow in all public and private institutions, the national flag will be lowered to half-mast.
The Central Commission of the Statute "Martyr of the Fatherland", under the direction of the Minister of Defense Olta Xhaçka, declares Major Klodian Tanushi, fallen in the line of duty, "Martyr of the Fatherland".
The tributes in honor of the martyr of the homeland will take place today in the premises of the National Historical Museum in Tirana, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Afterwards, in the premises of the Museum, the state ceremony will be held in honor of Major Klodian Tanushi, before the coffin covered with the national flag is placed on the ball bed and taken to the Martyrs' Cemetery.
