Microfinance institutions across Europe today mark October 20 - European Microfinance Day.
This day aims to raise awareness of microfinance as a tool to combat social exclusion and unemployment in Europe.
Otherwise, microfinance institutions are estimated to provide around 100 million euros in all sectors within a year. The average loan is around 1.100 euros.
