The Special Court will hold final statements today in the case of Thaçi and others, regarding charges of obstruction of justice.
According to the announcement of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers, the Single Judge has decided that the closing statements in the case “Specialized Prosecutor vs. Hashim Thaçi, Bashkim Smakaj, Isni Kilaj, Fadil Fazliu and Hajredin Kuçi” will be given on 10, 11 and 14 September 2026, starting at 09:30.
The scheduling of closing statements marks the conclusion of the parties' presentation of arguments in this legal process, before the Single Judge makes a decision on the case.
According to the file of the Specialist Prosecutor's Office, the criminal offenses presented in the indictments are related to the official proceedings of the Specialist Chambers, including the investigations of the Specialist Prosecutor's Office.
