The Sitnica River, in the Lipjan area, overflowed its banks on Tuesday morning.
Although there are flood defences in the area, this indicates that recent rainfall has raised the river level. No damage has been reported at any location yet.
Even two weeks ago, in the Lipjan area, the Sitnica River overflowed its banks but without causing significant damage, as occurred with the floods in other municipalities. And despite the significant damage in some municipalities, even after two weeks, there is still no balance sheet for the damage caused. There was damage in Malisheva, Prizren, Lipjan, Shtime, Rahovec, Klinë Drenas, Deçan, Rahovec, Suhareka, Junik, Gjakova, Fushë-Kosovo and Vushtrri.

As a result of the water situation, the Ferizaj-Gjilan road axis was also closed in the segment near the village of Sojevë this morning due to the accumulation of water on the road.
The Police said that all vehicles traveling in this direction are instructed to use the alternative route: Ferizaj - Mirosal - Gjilan and vice versa.
