The Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Shyqiri Bytyqi, participated in the opening ceremony of the two-day conference "From Peace to Prosperity - Transformation of Kosovar society through good leadership", which is being held in Pristina.
Local and international experts and leaders are taking part in this conference organized by MASHT and the Kosovar Leadership Foundation, including leaders and teachers of two well-known American universities: "James Madison" and "Mercer" University.
Minister Bytyqi has evaluated this conference as very important, while he said that leadership and a good leader is of special importance for each department and each field.
"Good leaders of the educational system have a double importance, because in addition to the responsibility to lead an institution from the highest to the lowest, they also have the responsibility to prepare leadership", said the Minister.
Bytyqi said that Kosovo needs good school principals, rectors of universities and colleges who compete to be the best, but also good leaders within the ministry who draw up good and safe policies, and in this way make their work easier. and leaders in educational institutions.
According to a press release from MEST, speaking about the policies being drawn up by MEST, Minister Bytyqi emphasized that soon the way school principals will be chosen will be made public, while he said that together with international partners, work is being done in education as well high to open up opportunities to have leaders who can and know how to lead the educational system.
