The former colleague of Alia Izetbegović, Ejup Ganić, has said that if the Republika Srpska becomes independent, the fragmentation of Serbia will continue.
"Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country that has a chance to survive for several reasons. A significant number of people have nowhere to go, and those Serbs who are against the common country know what was the fate of the Serbs from Knin or Kosovo. Where are they now? They are not", said Ganic in an interview for Croatia's "Globus".
Ganić, who was one of the closest collaborators of Bosnian leader Alia Izetbegović during the war, commenting on Milorad Dodik's ideas on the independence of the Serbian Republic, "threatened" Serbia that if it comes to this, its fragmentation will continue.
"People from Sanjak constantly watch what Dodik does, because he has been an entity for many years. As an entity, there are also several Albanian municipalities in Serbia, and the Hungarians are wisely grouped in Vojvodina. Everyone is waiting to see what will happen, and this is a signal for Serbia not to insist too much on the partition of Bosnia", he said.
