Simic: First the Association of Serbian Municipalities, later demarcation, never the Army

For the Serbian List, the priority is the formation of the Association of Serbian Municipalities (AKS) in Kosovo and not the issue of the demarcation of Kosovo with Montenegro, says the deputy in the Assembly of Kosovo Igor Simic and adds that this issue must be resolved in the future, reports Koha. .net.

He emphasized that the demarcation is important for the Albanians of Kosovo, but for the Serbs in Kosovo much more important is the formation of the AKS and the advancement of the position of the Serbs in Kosovo.

"We have been waiting for 1.767 days for the AKS to fulfill other points from the coalition agreement in order to advance the life of Serbs in Kosovo. The Serbian List wants to talk about these, and then once in a while the demarcation will come", rts quotes Simiq as saying.

He said that the Albanians have the right majority in the Assembly for voting.

"This issue does not require the support of the majority of two-thirds of the non-majority communities, of the deputies who come from the Serbian, Roma and Turkish communities. Albanians have enough votes to resolve this issue. What they want is the participation of the Serbs because that is how they want to manifest the multi-ethnic character of this decision", he says.

As Simic points out, this issue should be settled in the future, not now, and that the AKS should be established first and then all the others.

When it comes to the establishment of the Kosovo Army, Simic said that in Kosovo, according to resolution 1244, KFOR is the only legitimate armed force and that it will remain so.
