Sot mbushen 23 vjet nga protestat e Lëvizjes Studentore të vitit 1997.

Ishte Lëvizja Studentore e atëhershme që organizoi protestat, të cilat u organizuan për të kundërshtuar pushtimin e Kosovës nga Serbia dhe kthimin e studentëve në objektet universitare, nga ku studentët ishin dëbuar nga regjimi i kasapit Sllobodan Millosheviqit në fillim të viteve të 90-ta.

Përpos masave të dhunshëm që regjimi kishte vendosur vite më parë në universitet, dëboi studentë e profesorë nga universiteti dhe imponoi plan-programin serb për mësim.

Këto protesta konsiderohen si një ndër aktet më të rëndësishme të asaj kohe. Për të shpërndarë protestën paqësore, policia serbe përdori dhunë ndaj studentëve dhe profesorëve. /KsP.
