The Municipality of Prizren has announced that the fire in Prevalle has been extinguished. The Municipality of Prizren has said that KFOR, which threw water from the helicopter, helped put out the fire.
It has been said that it was deemed necessary to intervene through the air to extinguish the fire. It was also said that actors are on the ground monitoring the situation.
"We are thankful and grateful not only to KFOR but also to all other actors who contributed, first to manage and then to extinguish the fire. Thanks to the emergency headquarters created by the Directorate of Emergency and Security of the Municipality of Prizren, especially to the Prizren firefighters who monitored the situation all the time. Together we are stronger!" - said the mayor of Prizren, Shaqir Totaj.
KFOR has also announced the help it gave to extinguish the fire.
In a post on Facebook it is said that they were involved in the action to extinguish the fire after they were asked for help from the institutions of Kosovo.
