A protest was held in front of the Forum of Women, Peace and Security on Tuesday with the request that the state of emergency be declared immediately. Tuesday's protest comes after the murder of a woman in Peja, which happened only four days after another murder in Ferizaj.
On Tuesday, a woman was killed in Peja. Arrested for the case is her husband. On Friday in Ferizaj, another woman was shot dead by her ex-husband.
In an action in front of the premises where this forum is being held, there was a protest with the call to declare a state of emergency immediately.
Liridona Sijarina from the Kosovo Center for Gender Studies said that they asked to enter the Forum and face the president and tell him that the meeting of the Security Council should be urgently called and a state of emergency declared.

"However, what we saw was a terrible approach by the state. We were denied entry and treated like criminals. What we were told by the security and the police is that we pose a security risk and they did not let us in and followed us to the exit treating us as men who kill and abuse women should be treated. This shows the face of the state that treats us as activists as a danger, and this is worrying", she told reporters.
Sijarina called on the state to "not deal with activists, but with society's problems".
