Deputy Minister of Justice, Blerim Sallahu, said that by rejecting Vetëvendosje's appeal for a repeat of postal voting, the Electoral Complaints and Appeals Panel (ECAP) has decided to legitimize and legalize the misuse of postal votes.
"The ECAP decided to legitimize and legalize the abuses of postal votes, orchestrated by the LDK and its leadership. We hope that the Supreme Court will not fall prey to the irresponsibility, unprofessionalism and political influence that the ECAP has had from political and parapolitical actors," Sallahu wrote.

"The ECAP has not conducted administrative investigations of any ballot boxes, even though hundreds of samples of evidence have been presented that industrial manipulation of postal votes has occurred," Sallahu wrote.
The ECAP has rejected the appeal of the Vetevendosje Movement (LVV) which requested that the results of the postal voting for the Democratic League (LDK) and its candidates with a total of 18933 votes be annulled, that these votes be removed from the final results, and requested that the CEC be ordered to repeat the postal voting in its entirety.
The LDK welcomed the ECAP's decision through a Facebook reaction, emphasizing that the LVV's efforts "to manipulate and delegitimize the electoral process" were unfounded and "demonstrate an unwillingness to accept the will of the diaspora."
