The Colonel of the Kosovo Security Force, Ejup Maqedonci, will be the new Minister of Defense in the Government of Kosovo.

This has been confirmed by Macedonia itself. "Today I will take office as a minister", Macedonci told Koha.

During the war in Kosovo, Macedonia was the commander of the First Battalion of the 153rd Brigade of the Llap Operative Zone.

Minister Armend Mehaj resigned on Tuesday.

Liridona Gashi from the media office of the Ministry of Defense told Time that Mehaj resigned for family reasons.
