Prishtina-Podujevo road, Deputy Minister Durmishi is interviewed as a suspect

The Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, Hysen Durmishi, was interviewed by the Special Prosecutor's Office on Wednesday, as a suspect in the case of the construction project of the Pristina-Podujevë road.

After the interview, Durmishi himself announced that he was invited as a suspect. He said that it is currently the initial stage and that the prosecutor's questions "were clarifying".

Durmishi has said that he is clean in this process.

"Today I responded to the invitation of the Special Prosecutor's Office, I was invited as a suspect in the case of the Pristina-Podujevo road construction project. Mainly, this is an initial stage and the prosecutor's questions were clarifying questions which I clarified almost all the questions the prosecutor had to prove that the process for the Pristina-Podujevo road was a regular process and that the works are taking place there with the dynamics which we have planned and in some way I explained to the prosecutor my complete purity in this whole process", he said to the journalists.

Durmishi said that it is about a criminal complaint by an economic operator that did not win the tender.

He said that for the case there is a decision of the Prosecution Review Body and "documents that are public and that prove our purity in this whole process".

Durmishi said that despite the investigations, the works on the road will continue "and will be completed during this year".
