The price of oil in Kosovo has increased by 3-10 cents, depending on the companies that trade in oil, following the outbreak of conflict in the Middle East.

From 1.15 to 1.21 euros, prices on Monday rose from 1.18 to 1.25 euros.

The chairman of the Oilmen's Association, Fadil Berjani, said that the geopolitical situation in the Middle East is directly affecting oil markets.

"Rising tensions and the risk of disruptions in production or transportation are adding to uncertainty in global supply, pushing oil prices higher. The focus is particularly on the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's most important oil transit routes. Any problems in that corridor are immediately reflected in the markets and usually translate into higher fuel costs for consumers," Berjani said.

He said that current prices in Kosovo are €1.18 to €1.25 for diesel and €1.17 to €1.24 for gasoline.
