The urban traffic line to Pristina Airport has resumed

From Saturday, the Urban Traffic bus line to Pristina International Airport, "Adem Jashari", has returned.

07:00 marked the first departure from the bus station in the capital towards the airport, until the last return will be made at 20:00.

Wearing masks and social distancing are among the measures that travelers must respect. This was announced by the Chief Executive Officer of the Public Enterprise "Urban Traffic", Lulzim Rexhepaj.

He said for "kp" that the line will be realized with a reduced schedule due to the pandemic.

"Today, the airport line, which we call Line 1A, started operating from 7:00 a.m., the first departure from the bus station, in the direction of the airport, while the last departure or return from the airport is at 20:00 p.m.: XNUMX. As is known, the interruption occurred as a result of the spread of the pandemic, in which case the flights were also interrupted. We have also stopped traffic on this line. Now we started with a reduced schedule because even for a while due to the pandemic, the use of buses will be smaller", said Rexhepaj.

Rexhepaj emphasized that with the limitation of the number of people in the bus to 20, circulation has become difficult, reducing revenues, while he says that for the company in question, service to citizens is primary.

"With the measures we are taking, which are recommendations from the responsible institutions, circulation has become difficult, but we have come across an understanding that on this occasion I want to thank the citizens because they respect very well the limitation of 20 people inside the bus, as well as the establishment of masks... Revenues are very small, but more important for us as an enterprise is the service to citizens, which includes essential services for citizens. Therefore, we must continue with the hope that after a while we will pass the pandemic and return to normality", he says.

The head of "Urban Traffic" informed the citizens that the use of buses is safe and that disinfection is being done on a daily basis.
