Ramiz Lladrovci, mayor of Drenas, who according to preliminary results so far has secured a new mandate, has announced his "return" to the Democratic Party of Kosovo.
He won the last elections with the "For Drenas Champion" party, in a close race with PDK itself. He ran as an independent after PDK decided to run with Petrit Hajdari.
Through a Facebook post on Wednesday, Lladrovci said that from 18:30 PM they will symbolically open the office where the PDK Branch headquarters in Drenas was located.
"With the highest sense of human, institutional and moral responsibility, I express my deep respect and gratitude to every citizen who contributed to the exemplary conduct of the elections in our municipality. Although we are awaiting the officialization of the results, this does not prevent us from having a cocktail for the victory, not only the victory "For the Champion Drenas", but the victory of proud and integrity-minded citizens, who have made an extraordinary contribution before, during and after the liberation war and state-building. With the candidates for the Assembly and the members of the Election Headquarters, we will meet together in the offices where we were temporarily located and together, at 18:00, while at around 18:30 we will symbolically open the office where the PDK Branch in Drenas was located, an office which has been a source of victories for years," he wrote.
Lladrovci has also asked for votes for PDK in municipalities where this party is in the runoff.
"I invite all members of the Election Headquarters "For Drenas the Champion" who with extraordinary dedication brought the deserved victory, to continue their commitment and contribute with all the possibilities for victory in the PDK branches that are in the runoff. This cocktail is not an exception for those who think differently, nor a demonstration of the arrogance of victory, simply, it is a return to the premises from which there was and will be only victory, with the citizen of the Drenas municipality at the center and the vision of our heroes of war and peace", he added.
His PDK opponent, Petrit Hajdari, also congratulated Lladrovci on his victory in Drenas.
