The former chief inspector of the Kosovar Intelligence Agency, Burim Ramadani, has called the complete non-opening of the Bridge over the Iber as absurd, saying that the Government's verbal confrontation with NATO has damaged the possibility of its opening.
He said that the idea of fully opening this bridge for traffic should be restarted with strategic communication with NATO.
"I believe that the trumpeting and declarative verbal confrontation with NATO and KFOR has done extremely great damage to the possibility of opening the bridge. So sometimes the question can be asked if these rulers really wanted to open the bridge or if they only wanted to confront NATO and put NATO in a bad situation in front of the citizens of Kosovo, for which, I believe, they did not achieved because the citizens of Kosovo trust NATO and want Kosovo to be in NATO", he told KosovaPress.
After the closure of some parallel offices of Serbia, the citizens of the Serbian community in the north of Kosovo have started to protest. For this type of political organization, Ramadan has emphasized that it is pushed, encouraged and financed by official Belgrade. According to him, Kosovo should not fall prey to provocations and prioritize the well-being and prosperity of every citizen of Kosovo, regardless of their ethnicity.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti has stated that the Government of Kosovo is ready for the opening of the bridge over the Ibër River, and that coordination is being done with QUINT and KFOR, to coordinate on this matter, as he added that there are no details about the announcement for a meeting of the chief negotiators of Kosovo and Serbia in the framework of the dialogue.
