The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, has again defended the idea of the Balkan Mini-Schengen, saying that such a proposal would mean removing the border between Kosovo and Albania.
According to him, the first idea for the Balkan Schengen came from the former Albanian Prime Minister Fatos Nano, while he added that it was Rama himself who reintroduced it as an idea. He has again criticized Kosovo for refusing to be part of the regional discussions in the Balkans on this issue.
"I reintroduced it because the conditions were created. They did not accept it. The regional Schengen means removing the border between Albania and Kosovo, but by the time those in Kosovo find out, years will have passed and Kosovo and the Albanians will have lost time", said Rama in "EuroNews Albania".
Rama has stated that for Kosovo, the dialogue with Serbia should be a priority to rise in economic and social terms.
"For me, the future of Kosovo without the courage and determination to finish the dialogue is hazy, not in the sense of independence, but in the sense of the capacities that can be made available to raise Kosovo to the next level in economic and social terms," he added. he.
Rama has again refused to talk about the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti. He said that he will do this after the April 25 elections in Albania.
