The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, has spoken about the criticism of Goran Bregović's participation in the Beer Festival in Korça.
He has said that Bregoviqi has no connection with any of the black women who were billed by demented arsonists, both in Pristina and in Tirana.
Rama has said that the famous musician from Sarajevo, with a Croatian father, a Serbian mother and a Bosnian Muslim wife, turned into a "Serbian criminal" who had to be burned in the Albanian fires of August, despite the fact that he is not a Serb either.
"Even though Bregovic has not said anything against the Albanians, he has not sung at all about the massacres of the Milosevic regime, and he has never been a supporter of that regime either in word or deed, the truth didn't even matter. What was important was the fire of blind politics, which creates enemies, feeds on hostility and lives for hostility - said so beautifully by one of the mindless arsonists, 'I like to listen to Bregović, but I can't see Edi Rama with my eyes,' he wrote.
Rama wrote on Facebook that no one, anywhere, gave a single piece of evidence to justify the medieval hysteria that erupted against one of the most extraordinary musicians in the Balkans.

He said that it was a fascist hysteria, shameful for the European citizenship of Albanians, for our history and tradition as well, which unfortunately did not differ at all from the lynching hysteria of fascist groups everywhere in the world.

"Both sides faithfully belong to the low human category of blind haters, to which this world has only seen strife, wherever and whenever it has managed to impose its blindness on society," he wrote.
