Rakiq says that the situation today is more tense

The head of the Serbian List, Goran Rakiq, at the same time the Minister for Communities and Return in the Government of Kosovo, has said that the situation today in the north of Kosovo is more tense than in the past days.

In a statement to the media near the border crossing in Jarinje, Rakić said that Serbian citizens were beaten in Bërnjak, which the Kosovo Police denied earlier.

"The situation today is more tense than the previous days. Three Serbian citizens were beaten by the special unit of the Kosovo Police in Bërnjak. Serbian protesters in Jarinje and Bërnjak will not tense the situation and will not provoke the police. But the Police should not provoke the people they beat without any reason", said Rakiq, reports KosovaPress.

He called on the international community to find a solution to the situation. "We have a situation where more than 3 days have passed since the signing of the Brussels agreement and the Association of Serbian Municipalities has not yet been formed, while in fact this association is the essence of this problem because with this association we would solve all the problems ".
