Citizens from all over Kosovo offer their homes to those affected by the earthquake in Albania

Many families in different municipalities of the country have opened the doors of their houses to welcome the citizens of Albania, who were left without a roof over their heads as a result of the powerful earthquake that hit the part of Durres.

Although in other circumstances, the Kosovars say that they are returning what the Albanians of Albania did 20 years ago, during the last war in Kosovo, reports KTV.

Milazim Uruqi from the village of Polac in the Municipality of Gjilan, who lives in Switzerland, has made available his house which has the capacity to host three families.

He says that he is doing this because Albania helped Kosovars during the war.

Another resident, Sefedin Murati from Gjilan, prepared his apartment to accommodate a family, adding that he and his family will pay all the basic living expenses.

There have been hundreds of cases of solidarity like these throughout Kosovo, since Tuesday when the earthquake happened.

In addition, many people have voluntarily collected clothes and food to help families affected by the earthquake.

About 30 people died from this earthquake, while more than 600 others received bodily injuries.

Otherwise, during the last war in Kosovo, in 1999, many Kosovar families took refuge in Albania.
