UCCK begins replacing beds in Pediatrics

The Director of Technical-Administrative Services at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (UCK), Fisnik Dobra, has stated that the replacement of damaged beds at the Pediatric Clinic has begun, as part of a project to modernize infrastructure and supply medical inventory.

"Today, several beds that were damaged were replaced. They were replaced with new beds, you saw it yourself, you were witnesses of the changes that were made. I wanted to inform you that this is just the beginning of a project, from a contract that was signed by the Central Procurement Agency on June 10, for the modernization of the infrastructure. Specifically, this is about supplying inventory for clinics, medical inventory," declared Dobra.

He announced that by the end of this week, plans are expected from all clinics for new inventory needs, within the framework of a contract that includes 51 items.

"By Friday of this week, we are expecting data from clinics with plans for new inventory, for beds and others, from a contract with 51 items. Then all that data will be collected, structured and a request for supplies will be made. We believe that in a very short period, very quickly, supplies will be made according to the contract that was signed by the CPA," he said.

He added that seven beds were replaced today, while another is expected to be replaced.

"Today, seven beds were changed. We believe that one bed is also changed during the day, meaning there are eight beds in total," he said.

Dobra also announced that the renovations of several sanitary units in one part of the ward have been completed at the Pediatric Clinic, while the renovation of the other part will soon begin.

"In the Pediatric Clinic, not many days ago, a few weeks ago, some toilets or some sanitary units were renovated. They were replaced in the part across from the other wards. Now, very soon, the renovation of the sanitary units in the part here, which you are alluding to, will also begin. So, we believe that the renovation will be completed soon," Dobra added.
