The office of the prime minister of Kosovo issued a press release on Friday after the meeting of the prime minister, Albin Kurti, with the veterans, where it is said that the meeting discussed, among other things, the cleaning of their lists.
"The commitment of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo to deepen cooperation with the Organization of War Veterans of the Kosovo Liberation Army was reiterated, in order to improve the well-being of KLA veterans. The issue of clearing the lists and the possibilities of cooperation in this aspect were also discussed, as well as other important topics related to the status and condition of the veterans of the liberation war of the Kosovo Liberation Army ", it is said in the communiqué.
Meanwhile, the KLA War Veterans Organization announced after the meeting that no agreement was reached with Kurti on their demands.
After the meeting that lasted more than two hours, the acting chairman of the OVL of the KLA, Faton Klinaku, stated that Kurti was discussing the cleaning of the lists of veterans, adding that the courts should deal with this issue and not them.
Moreover, Klinaku said that they will not stop the protests which they started weeks ago.
"Even on the day that they will continue the session, we told them that we will continue with protests", said Klinaku.

The veterans protested again on Thursday in front of the Assembly of Kosovo to oppose the Draft Law on the minimum wage, which was approved on Tuesday in the first reading and from which they were excluded.
The draft law foresees the increase of the minimum wage from 170 to 264 euros, while veterans' pensions, which are determined based on the minimum wage, are not included in this increase.
