Even though they had promised that there will be no change in attitude towards Kosovo, the new Government of Montenegro, in the first published decision, has questioned the promises. Only a week after taking office, this government has put Kosovo in the background.
In the last publication about the anti-COVID measures in the country, the transit of residents of neighboring countries through Montenegro was also discussed. In this list, Kosovo is seen as a footnote. The measure holds the title for the transit of residents of "BiH, Serbia, Kosovo* and Albania through Montenegro". The document was issued by the Ministry of Health. In the transit point for neighboring countries, it is emphasized that the "yellow list", where Kosovo enters, can transit through Montenegro, without the obligation to have the PCR test.
The new measures come into effect at midnight tonight.

The new government of Montenegro was formed in early December. Zdravko Krivokapiq was elected Prime Minister, while Albanian Dritan Abazović was the Deputy Prime Minister. Before the Government was formed, the leaders of the coalition had pledged, among other things, that there will be no withdrawal of the recognition of Kosovo.
