On Sunday, April 15, the Ministry of Infrastructure will hold the inauguration ceremony of the start of construction works for the "Prishtina - Gjilan - Dheu i Bardhë" Highway.
According to the press release of this ministry, the inaugural ceremony of the start of works for the construction of the highway "Pristina - Gjilan - Dheu i Bardhë" is held on the eve of the "Battle of Zhegoci", in which eight KLA soldiers were killed and 18 civilians.
"The inauguration ceremony of the works will be held in Zhegoc of Gjilan, starting at 11:30 a.m.," says the announcement, Koha.net reports.
From the heads of the MI, the signing of the contract for this project was considered good news for all the citizens of Anamorava, but also for the whole country, because this highway connects Gjilan with other parts of Kosovo.
Minister Pal Lekaj had indicated that the highway will cost 88 million euros, and that it will have a length of 22.3 kilometers. The works are expected to last 30 months.

Rexhep Kadriu, deputy minister, had indicated that the highway will have three junctions, one in Banulla, then one in Zhegovc and the last one will be in Bresalce.
The highway route had sparked clashes within the governing coalition. The first deputy prime minister of Kosovo, Behgjet Pacolli, had reacted to why the route does not touch Gollak, until he said that he had promised the residents of this area in the electoral campaign that such a thing would happen.
