Pristina, December 20 - Like every year, many compatriots who come to Kosovo for the end of the year holidays faced long waits at border points.
Despite the pandemic and the waits across the borders of different countries, especially Hungary-Serbia, up to 12 hours, they say they are already used to this.
But, on Sunday, when entering Kosovo from Serbia, at the border crossing in Merdar, there were no long waits.
Zyber Ejupi also traveled from Switzerland to Kosovo, for whom the road was quite difficult and long.
Ejupi at the Slovenia-Croatia border waited 12 hours, while Croatia-Serbia 10 hours.

"The road has been very long, the waits have been very long at various borders, but not even at the entrance to Kosovo, where we waited somewhere around 20 minutes, but staying in Kosovo makes us forget the fatigue and mistreatment of the road", Ejupi said.
However, Ejupi assesses the situation with the pandemic as the same in Switzerland as in Kosovo.
"The situation is the same, we are not afraid, but it is good to be a little bit cautious", he added.
Many other compatriots, who have traveled from different European countries to Kosovo, have faced the same problems.
Petrit Kajolli was waiting at the entrance of Hungary from 9 in the evening until 4 in the morning.
"We waited quite a long time, but this has become common," says Kajolli. "The pandemic has mixed up our work a little, but we came to visit our family."
Even Bujar Nejza waited for a long time at the Hungarian-Serbian border, more than 5 hours.

"We waited a long time in Hungary, however, from Serbia to Kosovo we came well, we were tested for coronavirus and we have to be tested and isolated again when we get back to Germany", he says.
Sahit Kryeziu also came from Germany to Kosovo to visit his family. He says that they have stayed a year and a half without coming to Kosovo, but the danger from the virus is present everywhere.
"We stayed for a long time without coming, however the pandemic has gripped the whole world, we are now in Germany, we are going to stay in Kosovo too", he says.
But, despite the fact that these countries require their citizens to be tested and isolated 10 days after returning from Kosovo, Kosovo itself does not apply such a thing.
The Ministry of Health, through a press release, clarified that no citizen returning from other countries to Kosovo and residing in Kosovo does not need this negative PCR test upon entering our country. This test is required for those who do not have a residence in Kosovo and who come from countries ranked with "high risk", according to the classification made by the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control.
"No citizen of Kosovo who comes to Kosovo, with or without a PCR test, is subjected to any 14-day quarantine or isolation, as misinformed. Those who come to Kosovo from countries classified as high risk and who do not have a residence in Kosovo, must stay for seven days at home (self-isolation) as a preventive measure against the spread of the virus," the communiqué states, among other things.
