The Director of Social Welfare in the Municipality of Pristina Dren Kukaj, through a post on Facebook, has announced that the Municipality of Pristina will have its platform for social welfare.
The platform is called "Prishtina of Everyone".
I wrote that with all the difficulties of life in our city, Prishtina is not the same for everyone.
"It is more difficult for the one who has little. What there is not. What I can't move. What I can't see. The one who can't hear. He who does not understand the language of the majority. What is different than most. In a word, it is not for everyone", writes Kukaj.

"This platform will be a set of concrete measures whose ultimate goal is the advancement and empowerment of the members of the marginalized, discriminated and endangered communities of our society", he writes,
Target groups of the platform are:
- Families with social assistance;
- All categories of persons with disabilities;
- Women and children in difficult social situations;

"For each of the aforementioned categories, the platform will produce concrete measures in the direction of creating the necessary material and human infrastructure in order to create a strong protective network for our residents within these categories. The platform will create the necessary spaces through which the possibility of providing some public services will be created in order to achieve an optimal level of municipal assistance for the members of these social communities. Also, the platform will create the necessary professional corps of social workers through cooperation with specialized psychosocial service organizations in order to respond to basic social needs in Pristina. Further, the platform will support certain social activities through which the sense of community belonging will increase and, as a result, the advancement and empowerment of these members of society, and at the same time the level of acceptance of these members by the rest of the majority of society will increase". writes Kukaj.

Kukaj continues, "together with the organizations that represent the aforementioned social groups and other relevant institutions, from the beginning of the new year until the time of the final drafting of the 2021 budget, we will work together to identify all the adequate measures of this platform".
"This platform, apart from the fact that it contains all the electoral promises of our government that are related to social welfare, it also consists of other intrusive and necessary measures for the protected social categories. The purpose of this platform is to establish a stable institutional order against the completion of a number of necessary social services for the residents of our city", concludes Kukaj's article.
