KosovaPress has contacted the police to ask if they have been informed about this case, while the spokesperson of the Police of the Gjilan region, Ismet Hashani, has said that they have not received any such information, but that they will take measures immediately.
He notified the Viti police station and then said that they will go to the scene to prevent this activity.
"I contacted the police station of Vitia Police, there was also someone who called about this case, and based on what we heard, we will take all the measures and appreciate your information. We will check there first so that if eventually someone tries to carry out such an activity, we will prevent it", said Hashani.

In case of holding such an activity, Hashani has said that they will act according to the law.
"Our patrols will be there first and will observe the terrain, and if there will be such incentives, of course the Kosovo Police will act on the basis of the law", said Hashani.
And according to the Law on the Care of Animals, such an activity can be punished with a fine of 100 to 5000 euros.
"The person who organizes competitions in which the speed or power of the animal is tested, in which case the animal may suffer pain, injury or death, or who organizes them in violation of the legal provisions, is punished for a misdemeanor with a fine of 100 to 5.000 euros ", it is stated in article 17 (point j) of this law.
KosovaPress also contacted the mayor of the municipality of Vitia, Sokol Halit, who said that this news could be false, but promised to work on preventing possible contests.
"They made some kind of post, but as it seems, it is fake news. I have informed the police, I have heard from them, that we also saw this problem, that's why we are very interested in preventing these activities and of course we will prevent them", said Haliti.
Otherwise, the mayor of Rahovec, Smajl Latifi, has recently signed a decision that prohibits the killing and mistreatment of animals, and Sokol Haliti has also promised such a decision, during his speech for KosovaPress.
