Kosovo Police has issued a call for drivers of vehicles in road traffic to show increased caution due to the presence of fog in some areas of the country.
The presence of fog is present in places where the geographical position is lower, the police remind in their call, adding that during this time, drivers should use fog lights and not exceed the speed limit on the road.
"Remember, driving in fog is dangerous. Keep an eye on the road for sudden changes in visibility, the densest fog can be closer to rivers. Fog can cause optical illusions and make drivers think they are going slower than they are. Stay alert, do not speed," the Kosovo Police statement reads.
Police also advise drivers not to use high beams, as they can reflect off the fog and back onto their vehicle, and will also make it impossible for other drivers in traffic to see them.
"Use fog lights. If your vehicle has these lights, they help illuminate the road ahead of you, and they make your vehicle more visible to other drivers. Some vehicles also have rear fog lights, which help drivers behind you see you from a greater distance," the announcement continues.
