The Kosovo Police and the Special Prosecutor's Office have given details about the action that took place on Tuesday, where the deputy secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Izedin Bytyqi, was arrested.

By order of the Special Prosecutor's Office of Kosovo, the deputy secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Izedin Bytyqi, was arrested in the action today, on suspicion of "abuse of official authority" and "arms without a permit", while the other suspect, Naser Hafizi, who is suspected of " abuse of office and official authority", "money laundering" and "non-reporting or false reporting of income, gifts, other material benefit or financial obligations", was not found in his residence.  

In the joint statement of the Police and the Special Prosecutor's Office, it is said that during the raid, a Mauser-Werkr type revolver with two magazines and seven cartridges, 34 different documents, three phones, 17 USBs, three laptops, 4 computer cases, and as well as important documents for the investigative procedure. 

A temporary restraining order has also been issued for 6 apartments with locations in Pristina and Fushë-Kosovo. 

"By decision of the Prosecutor from the PSRK, the suspect with the initials IB has been sent to detention for 48 hours, while investigations continue to identify any other person who may be involved in this criminal activity", it was said in a joint communiqué. .
