Policeman Kryeziu: Attack in Banjska organized by military structure

Mirsad Kryeziu

Updated 11:12-Police officer Mirsad Kryeziu said that the weapons that the terrorist group in Banjska used against the Kosovo Police could only have been organized by a military structure. He said that he bases this on his war experience.

"The weapons that were used ranged from light artillery to the heaviest. I am saying that all the weapons that are attacked and used by an organization, and I say this with full confidence, were organized only by the military structure. From my work and war experience, I know all types of weapons, their function and use," he said.

The policeman also said that the terrorists were a structured group and directed by the military structure. According to him, this is evidenced by the preparations and the time chosen to carry out the attack.

"The attackers' goal was, in my opinion, because it is not the first time this has happened. The entire time we were in the northern part of Mitrovica, we were not wanted by the same members who are organized for such things. I can freely say that there have been other attacks that have attacked police patrols, during their duties. Why is this position, because this group was well structured and well directed by the military structure. Their position was extremely suitable for attacking the police, for this reason they chose Banjska and Manastir, which had pilgrims that day, using them as well, placing themselves in good and favorable positions. It is clear that they were well structured, so that if they do not succeed, they can leave. People who do not know the military structures, would use another position," he added.
