Petkovic reacts to Dora Bakoyannis, calling her report shameful

Petar Petkovic - Goran Rakic

The Director of the Office for Kosovo in the Government of Serbia, Petar Petkovic, has severely criticized the designated rapporteur for Kosovo in the Council of Europe, Dora Bakoyannis.

Bakoyannis's report on Kosovo went to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. In mid-May, the Council of Ministers will also vote, and if it passes this step, then Kosovo will be admitted to the Council of Europe.

Petkovic said that Bakoyannis' report is "shameful".

Bakoyannis has said that no country has been asked for so many reforms before admission to the Council of Europe, as they have been imposed on Kosovo.

"No candidate has been asked to carry out so many reforms before the question of his acceptance into the organization is brought up for discussion. This is probably the reason why 83 percent of the Assembly voted in favor of the report", said Bakoyannis in an article for "European Western Balkans".

Petkovic reacted harshly to her on the "X" platform.

"Shame on you Dora Bakoyannis! I don't know which is worse, your shameful report or everything you say in defense of the so-called Kosovo! You mention a number of alleged reforms that the so-called Kosovo had to fulfill for membership in the Council of Europe, but you never mention that Prishtina has not established the AKS for 11 years, that it arrests and beats Serbs on a daily basis, that the circulation of Serbian goods has been banned for 10 months, that he has removed the dinar and stops salaries and pensions for Serbs, that he has carried out ethnic cleansing of Serbs, institutional violence, imposes false presidents in the north, destroys Serbian cemeteries and confiscates Serb properties. Your shameful report Dora Bakoyannis does not contain any of those things above", wrote Petkovic.
