Kosovo has faced five cases of measles since January of this year.
The National Institute of Public Health (NIPH) has announced that cases have been registered in Fushë-Kosovo Polje, Gjakova and Deçan, and the patients have recovered from the infection without complications.
According to the NIPHK, cases identified during March are being continuously monitored.
"The measles cases reported during January have recovered from the infection without complications. Meanwhile, the cases identified in March are under continuous monitoring by the medical team, to ensure proper treatment and management of their health condition," the Institute's response to KOHĖN states.
Weeks ago, the National Institute of Public Health (NIPHK) invited parents to vaccinate their children against measles, but also against mumps and rubella.

For about two months, 40 cases of measles were reported in Kosovo.
"In the context of protecting public health and in order to prevent the spread of infectious diseases and preserve the health of children, it is very important to ensure that your children are vaccinated with the MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) vaccines," the NIPHK announcement states.
According to the Institute, the vaccine remains the safest way to prevent new cases.
