Avdullah Hoti, Hykmete Bajrami, Kujtim Shala, Janina Ymeri, Armend Zemaj e Arben Gashi kanë dalë kundër marrëveshjes me Vetëvendosjen për Sejdiun. Ata vendimin e tyre e arsyetuan me qëndrimin kundër “për zgjatjen e pushtetit Albin Kurtit”.
Abdixhiku himself wrote about the position of the six MPs on Tuesday.
"New elections have not been an agenda of the LDK. They have not been a request or a decision of our membership. But for months now, they have been a clear agenda of other political groups, which, it seems, are already successfully influencing our course," Abdixhiku declared.
The LDK leader, Lumir Abdixhiku, has described the six MPs' reasoning that they do not want to extend the life of Albin Kurti's government as untenable.
"Yesterday, no governing agreement with VV was rejected, because such an agreement did not exist. LDK had decided to remain in opposition. All our MPs had agreed with this position. So, what are they beating their chests for? What have they saved? Yesterday, the solution for the president of Kosovo was rejected. The vote for the candidate proposed by LDK was rejected and, with this rejection, the fate of the country was also determined, new elections. Anyone can do harm. For this, here is the hand!", he wrote.
Abdixhiku reminded the "rebel" MPs of the history of this entity's actions in 2020 and the consequences of leaving the coalition with LVV at the height of the pandemic and the creation of the Hoti Government with AAK, Nisma, and the Serbian List.
"But as I told you in 2020, when you were blinded and brought the LDK to 12%; I'm telling you now, this action is only a harm to the LDK. How you don't see this, how you don't feel this fate, how you feel fulfilled by the praise of those who have been anti-LDK all their lives, I don't understand!", said Abdixhiku.
Megjithatë, Abdixhiku i mbijetoi votëbesimit.
The LDK leader informed the LVV leader, Albin Kurti, about the situation within his party and the difficulties in implementing the agreement on Tuesday afternoon, in a meeting they held at the Kosovo Assembly.
Abdixhiku said that they discussed recent developments and that, considering the created reality, the country is heading towards elections.
"Regular notification of developments in both parties, as order dictates, there will be discussion processes, we will also officially notify each other of party developments, I did this for the meetings that took place yesterday, I officially notified them," Abdixhiku said.
On Tuesday evening, referring to the situation created in the LDK, Kurti said that in the Vetëvendosje Parliamentary Group, there was full support for Bekim Sejdiu.
"Of course, this meeting was aware of the developments of the last few hours, where on the one hand, the position of the LDK Presidency for full support for Professor Bekim Sejdiu as the name for president that the two entities agreed on was hopeful. But, then we had the negative announcement that six MPs out of 18 that the LDK has do not support Professor Bekim Sejdiu for president of the Republic of Kosovo. It is a new situation that requires that on the one hand we meet again with the LDK President but also with the Vetëvendosje Presidency", Kurti emphasized.
The leader of VV said that the behavior of the deputies is irresponsible, absurd and harmful.
"For me as the leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement and as the acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, but also the leader of the negotiating team with the LDK, the political agreement reached is valid. It stands. It is an agreement reached with a lot of effort, fair, good, truly beneficial. But, what can we do when we have this negative action of six MPs," Kurti said.
Asked if he would meet with the Alliance, which has seven MPs, Kurti said he believes it should be met. But he said it makes no sense for the Alliance to set conditions and then refuse a meeting. He said that you cannot impose conditions on a political entity and then refuse to meet. The Alliance has set six conditions to support the election of the president. Among them is the acceptance of American gas.
"I believe that there is no citizen of Kosovo who has not understood this evening that there are some people who can so easily say no to an agreement reached with so much and do not care that this leads to new elections. Despite this indifference, we are very responsible to insist on the validity of the political agreement for the candidate of Professor Bekim Sejdiu for president," Kurti said.
Arjeta Fejza, an MP from the winning party in the elections, linked the opposition of the LDK six to another party.
"The sabotaging LDK MPs stood up to vote for a political PDK candidate, such as Hashim Thaçi. The same ones today are refusing to vote for an apolitical candidate, such as Bekim Sejdiu. This can be called a Thaçi or PDK spirit, but in no way Rugova's!", she said.
Vigan Qorrolli, also an LVV MP, linked the opposing position of the LDK MPs to the PDK.
"Grenelli thanks the PDK's "sabotaging" 6... oops, sorry -- LDK, for the mutual benefit!"
Similar criticism has also been made by MP Arbëreshë Kryeziu Hyseni.
And according to political analyst Artan Muhaxhiri, the attacks on six LDK MPs are part of the campaign for the upcoming elections.
Failure to elect a president within the 60-day constitutional deadline leads the country to new elections.
However, the expiration of this term begins with the constitution of the Assembly, which has not yet occurred, despite the constitutional deadline that set August 7 as the last date by which the president and five vice presidents of the legislative institution should be elected.
