Due to the threats, the special prosecutor, Elez Blakaj, resigned

The Prosecutor of the Special Prosecution of Kosovo, Elez Blakaj, resigned two days ago from the Prosecution. The news of his resignation was confirmed for the newspaper "Koha Ditore" by the chief prosecutor of the Special Special, Reshat Millaku.

"On August 13, we received the notification for the resignation of prosecutor Blakaj. We don't know the reasons", he said briefly.

However, newspaper sources within the justice institutions have announced that Blakaj resigned due to the threats he received during his work as a prosecutor.

"Blakaj has repeatedly complained that he received threats while performing his duty. He also complained about the lack of institutional protection," said this source.
