The Democratic Party of Kosovo has officially launched the campaign for the February 9 parliamentary elections with a rally in the "1 Tetori" hall in Pristina.

The chairman of the PDK, Memli Krasniqi, said that on February 9, citizens will elect a new government with Bedri Hamza of this party as prime minister.

The chairman of the PDK at the beginning of the speech greeted the former leaders of the PDK, Hashim Thaçi and Kadri Veseli, who are currently in The Hague under charges of war crimes.

The candidate for prime minister from the ranks of PDK, Bedri Hamza, has said that economic development is among his priorities.

"My vision is for a strong Kosovo, which is based on the opening of new jobs, there is also an increase in the salaries of the private sector through increased support for businesses with grants, investments and subsidies, with fiscal facilities and with better access easy in finance", he said.

Hamza has promised a 50 percent salary increase for the public, 70 percent for basic pensions and 50 percent for war pensions.
