"Cleaning" seeks to make the bills more expensive

The company "Pastrimi" has made a request to the Municipality of Pristina to approve the increase in the waste bill. Arbnora Ademi, spokesperson for the media in this company, told Radio Kosovo that this request has come due to the increase in the prices of derivatives and other products. However, she did not give details on how much the bill is expected to increase.

"The Cleaning Company has been making requests and appeals to the municipalities where we provide services, for an increase in the bill. This request comes knowing the high cost of derivatives and any product that has increased, and on the other hand, waste bills remain the same. However, there is still no official answer for the bill increase", said Ademi.

The Union of Independent Workers of the "Pastrimi" Company, in an email sent to the Mayor of the Municipality, Përparim Rama, has shown the problems that this company is facing during operation. They requested a change in the value of bills for households in the territory of the Municipality of Pristina, from €4.70 to €7.50.

"The high operating expenses, the financial situation, the effects of inflation that we are facing, has brought us close to collapse, therefore the only hope for 890 families is you", he wrote in the union's email to the Municipality of Pristina.

The director of Public Services in the Municipality of Pristina, Ilirik Musliu, said that "we still haven't made a decision to change the price".

A few days ago, the municipality announced that the increase in the waste bill is expected to happen because the landfill has increased the prices of the company "Pastrimi"./ RTK
