After 27 years, the murder of two Albanian brothers, Haki and Jakup A., in Belgrade has been solved, Serbian media reported on Thursday. "Flash".

The suspect Zoran V., who is now 48 years old, has been arrested 27 years after allegedly committing the murder of the brothers in a building on "Zmaj Jovina" street in Belgrade.

So far, it is reported that the suspect has been living and working in Novi Sad, until he was arrested for narcotics and weapons, which revealed the crime committed almost three decades ago.

The highest public prosecutor's office in Belgrade has announced that there is a well-founded suspicion that on January 26, 1998, on the fourth floor of an apartment building, Zoran V. took the lives of Haki and Jakupi with a pistol shot. The murder occurred after the suspect put on a black mask and gloves, and when the victims reached the door of apartment number 14, he shot at them. 

According to the indictment, he shot Haki with three bullets and Jakupi with two bullets, causing fatal injuries.

Zoran V. then left the building and on the way took off his hat and gloves, which he threw inside the building and then left in an unknown vehicle.

The prosecution has filed an indictment against the defendant, charging him with the criminal offense of aggravated murder.

The prosecution proposed to the court to extend the detention measure for the defendant due to the risk of escape.
