Images from the north are sending suspects to prison for attacks on journalists

Within three days, three suspects were arrested for the attacks on journalists in the northern municipalities. Two of them are suspects for the attacks that were carried out during the month of May, and the person arrested on Monday is a suspect for the attack on journalists that happened last Friday.

The first two were arrested for the attacks on journalists that occurred in May, and on Monday the suspect was arrested for the attack recorded last Friday, in Leposaviq.

"Today, in the early hours of the morning, the next male suspect UV, residing in a village of Leposaviq municipality, was arrested, suspected of being involved in a case of attack on the media/journalists", the Police announcement states.

The Minister of Internal Affairs, Xelal Svecla, through a post on Facebook, announced the full identity of the detainee.

"In the last three days, three arrested for brutal and criminal attacks on journalists reporting from the north of the country. The third arrested, the next, is Urosh Vukasinović. These criminals, who are receiving orders for these attacks from Belgrade, will now face justice. We will not stop, anyone responsible for violence and criminal acts against journalists will be arrested", Sveçla wrote.

"On behalf of the Serbian people, we have been calling for peace for months, and that has long been gone for the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, so the simple question is whether Kurti is really stronger than KFOR, the EU, USA, QUINTI, UN or whatever in this persecution of all Serbs, he has someone's support", says the reaction of the Serbian List.

While this arrested person was taken into custody, Dalibor Spasiq, who was arrested on Saturday, appeared today at the Basic Court in Mitrovica, where a preliminary hearing was held. He was sentenced to 30 days in custody.

The Association of Journalists of Kosovo has announced that since the beginning of the protests in the municipalities in the north, inhabited by a majority of Serbs, 30 attacks on media workers have been registered.

Tensions in the north of Kosovo increased on May 26, when the new Albanian mayors, with the assistance of the Kosovo Police, entered the main municipal buildings.
