KOHË's Brussels correspondent, Augustin Palokaj, stated that the topic that dominated today's meeting of European Union and Western Balkans ministers was Bosnia-Herzegovina and the recent developments in this country with the announcement of the resignation of the High International Representative Christian Schmidt from this position.
In a live broadcast on the "tre8tre" show on KTV, Palokaj said that the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia was also among the topics discussed at this meeting.

Letter to the Reader — Why We're Asking for Your Support Contribute"As for the Western Balkans, Bosnia and Herzegovina is dominating, where almost dramatic developments are taking place, because the high representative there, Christian Schmidt, has announced his resignation, therefore this could create political destabilization in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where the intervention of the high representative is always needed to overcome the blockades that occur in the institutions of this country. The dialogue between the SC-SRB is a special topic, then the fight against negative foreign influence in the Western Balkans region and the deepening of cooperation of the countries of the region with the EU, including the integration process," he said.

Palokaj said that according to the EU's chief diplomat, Kaja Kallas, there was agreement from the parties to organize a meeting within the framework of the dialogue, but Kosovo's acting foreign minister Glauk Konjufca considered that this year would not bring results in terms of talks.
"The meeting between the Balkan and EU ministers has ended, while the meeting between the European Union ministers is now continuing. Kallas said that there was agreement from both sides to organize a meeting, but it has now been postponed. We also asked Mr. Konjufca about this and he said that this year is more or less lost in terms of dialogue and he expects to see what will happen in 2027. He also mentioned the fact that there is no trust between Kosovo and Serbia and this trust cannot be restored until Serbia takes measures against those who committed the terrorist attack in Banjska and according to him, Serbia continues its efforts to destabilize Kosovo, even in cooperation with Russia, and in these circumstances he does not see any significant progress in the dialogue process," he said.
