At the end of his first official visit to Italy, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Behgjet Pacolli, laid a wreath at the Skanderbeg Monument.
"Today, at the end of my official visit to Rome, I laid a wreath at the Skanderbeg Monument in Albania Square. The Albanian nation commemorates the 550th anniversary of the death of our national hero, in numerous activities throughout the year, so I thought it right to make such a gesture in the name of the Government of Kosovo and in my personal name", said the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Pacolli.
"What a thrill to find yourself in front of such a monument of our hero, the defender of Western civilization in a city like Rome, full of monuments and traces of antiquity and the Middle Ages", he said.
The Skanderbeg monument was inaugurated in Rome on October 28, 1940.
During the two-day visit to Italy, the head of Kosovar diplomacy met with high state representatives from the Italian state, the Holy See in the Vatican, as well as representatives of the Italian business community.
On the sidelines of the visit, he also promoted the author's book translated into Italian "Nothing is impossible" to high-ranking Italian dignitaries. My way to success", which was published by the Italian publishing house, CairoEdizioni.
